The Pirate Take Over Of Cry Astro

So I was browsing spectrum today and noticed an awful lot of posts about piracy vs. griefing. So upon further investigation I discovered that PvP orgs have taken to holding Cry Astro hostage, forcing player to pay a fee to even use the service or be destroyed. Much of this is in response to CIG saying they are not going to fix Arena Commander so they decided to take their craft into the PU. Talking to people I know who are part of dedicated PvP groups I discovered many of them are going to continue to do this, mostly because they can make money from it.

I for one welcome this as it is a chance to show the kind of emergent gameplay that is possible in game. Many orgs out there are mercenary based and would love to cover players who are trying to get to Cry Astro for the right fee. This is the start of the emergent gameplay of Star Citizen and I for one couldn't be more excited.

However it should be noted that Cry Astro might as well be Syria at this point, note that if you are flying through. Keep your heads down and weapons hot around Cry Astro Pilots.

Here are some of the links talking about it for those interested.
