Limit all 0$ items to a maximum count of 2.

This allows you to switch, decide you don't like it & swap back, but also covers you in the event that your current ship gets changed into something you don't like at a later date.

If you go down to 1x CCU & decide you need to get another at a later date, it's still feasible while keeping the database size small(er).

Keeps us happy, keeps CIG happy, everyone wins!

Note: This would apply to all currently owned CCUs in a retroactive manor as well to give them the results they are looking for to bring the database back to a maintainable level*

I believe yes. I don't believe just because you have eating and drinking it makes it a survival game.

But for immersion if you are to make a real living breathing world, it would be unrealistic not to add some "survival mechanics" into it.

So I was lamenting at the fact I don't have $50 to upgrade to a cutlass. So a guy was trying to help but there was so much chatting I never got to read it all. He first said something about a $10 ccu to save before price jump, then something about winning in store credits through YouTube. Then something about gord and glem and I have no clue haha. I know it's not a lot to go on but it's mainly me wondering where to try to win credits. Thanks guys.

After doing some research , I'm still undecided if I want to buy dual Joysticks or stick with M+K. I would love if someone could provide additional input that might push me in either direction.

So I've read alot about that it depends alot on what your goasl are in SC , so I'm just gonna quickly list them here.

  • Beeing a really good Pilot > Immersion.
  • I'm more of a fighter Pilot then say , a Capitol Ship Captain / Pilot


So here are some things I've read while doing research

  • It mostly doesnt matter which one you choose but rather depends on with what you practice the most.(But then why are the majority of the leaderboards in AC Joysticks ?)
  • Joysticks are hard to get uses to but feel alot better after you've used them for some time.
  • Joystsicks are better for controlling your ship as a whole / M+K is better for controlling your aim(But cant you just train yourself to be just as effecient at aiming with a joystick ?)
  • If you have a smaller desk (which I think applies to me) , it can get annoying to constantly move aside the joysticks for the Non-ship activities.
  • CIG is developing SC with M+K in mind first , so there will always be the advantage.


So thats where I'm at right now. One of the most confusing things to me was , that I found alot of people saying that M+K is generally better for fighting but then I found that the Leaderboards are dominated by Joystick users.

I would love some addition feedback , to make my decision easier.

I have many Sci-Fi ideas locked away inside my mind and I decided that I would like to possibly contribute to the game story if it at all gives more depth to the game Star Citizen. If the developers have their own plots and stories already written then maybe this is food for thought for some of you here. I might write a book about this.

The idea was that humanity split off from Earth at an earlier time, perhaps 2100 (or so) in primitive ships in order to escape the ordeals of earth and human politics. The planet can be named "Nova Zemla" which roughly translates to "New Earth". The start system bares a slightly larger medium dwarf star and 4 planets. 2 of the planets are habitable.

Here is where the story takes a turn... Upon landing on the planet and beginning advanced mining operations; and splitting off from the UEE, the humans split politically and scientifically among the two planets. There are those who believe in advancing technologically to have peace through strength. Then, there are the ones who believe that humanity should reconnect with Earth to advance humanity as a whole. As the peoples of the second planet (which we can name "Alzeon") begin to construct advanced communication devices to communicate with the once left behind Earth, the people inhabiting Nova Zemla begin air strike upon the communications installations on Alzeon, retaliatory strikes are launched which ends in thermonuclear winter on both worlds.

Few survive with deep underground bunkers and sub-orbital facilities. After 700 years pass, the twin planets in the habitable zone begin to stabilize in certain regions. Throughout the 700 years, the humans begin to change through evolution due to environmental factors. Tales and myths of humanities roots carry on despite the less-than-adequate environment.

Two of the other worlds that are beyond the habitable zone are rich in resources which happen to contain minerals that can be used to produce oxygen. The few people that remained and repopulated the star system spent the near millenia hunting for resources to rebuild. They reconnected with those on the twin world through mutually-agreed peace treaties and constitutions which bound them to peace for the foreseeable future.

Moving on the 30th century, when the UEE explores more than 60 star systems, the stumble upon the fractured star system which house their long lost brothers and sisters. Earth has advanced beyond their belief at this point, Because of the major nuclear conflict engulfing both worlds, technological progress has been at an almost stand-still. When the UEE Senate orders further exploration of this new star system, they arrive in their largest vessels to assert dominance over this breakaway civilization.

Terraforming begins of these two nearly-habitable worlds and the two that rest beyond the zone. Many of the people who survived the 700 years welcome with open arms the UEE fleets. Others resort to terrorism and hide within the asteroid belt on a dwarf planet. They are attempting to construct nuclear and antimatter weapons and are stealing resources from the fleets.

By the year 2945, the star system is on lockdown due to an antimatter weapon going off on one of the mining planets which annihilate multiple UEE starships. A full invasion and sweep of the star system begins until stability is once again returned. By the near turn of the millennia, the star system is open as an archaeological site due to the multitude of monuments and texts left behind describing humanity's roots. The rest is up for discovery.
