I imagine it being something like grabbing a spawned ship on a landing pad, and being able to keep it until you leave it. The player you stole it from is then reimbursed, but might have to wait X amount of time to spawn a new one. Seems unlikely that you'd be able to keep the ships you steal forever.

What do you think?

There are no working ailerons or flaps on any of the ships, and therefore, rely solely on the thrusters to pitch/roll in atmosphere.

This works fine in space or planets were there isn't any atmo, but starts to feel really weird on planets/moons that do.

This would come down to design choice by CIG, but IMO it would make sense realistically.

It could be that CIG don't have this tech in the engine and it wouldn't be worth working on it at this stage.

Thoughts?

Is the site correct when it shows the Bucc has four size 3 hard points and 2 size one hard points? Was flying one in the Verse today and the owner said it had two size 3 hardpoints, two size 2, and two size 1s? Which is correct? Thank you :)

Ive noticed a distrssing trend on this subreddit over the last few months of my subscription. Before I get into it, I want to say that I love Star Citizen and I feel like this really is the best place to go for information. People are creative and overwhelmingly supportive of Chris Roberts and his dream.

That being said, Ive noticed that the vast majority of questions asked on this sub are downvoted quite arbitrarily. And I use arbitrarily pointedly here.

When you hover over the Super Hornet that shoots when you upvote it, it says "For content that contributes to discussion." And when you do the same for the Vanduul ship downvote that explodes when you press it, the text box that pops up says "For content that doesn't contribute to discussion."

Personally, I belive questions - whether simple or complex - are the best contributors to discussion. Im new to reddit and I dont really care much for karma, but I feel as if this behavior discourages people from asking questions at all. And this is depressing because it not only inhibits the creative flow, it prevents new potential Citizens from getting swept up in the hurricaine of ideas and potential and excitement that is Star Citizen.

Is it because people think that the askers should just know this stuff? Or perhaps because they asked in a post instead of the dedicated Q&A because they were new to the sub or to reddit or just didnt want their question to be lost.

Im not saying that we should just go around and upvote every question, that wouldnt help us see the truly thought provoking discussions that a given thread stimulated. But I truly feel the downvote should be reserved for posts that genuinely do what the downvote itself does - discourage discussion.

So rather than downvoting posts that we know the answer to or seem like simple questions or are not in the "proper place," perhaps it would be more true to the core of what Star Citizen is if instead we truly considered the intentions and ramifications of a post. Be they negative, neutral, or thought-provoking and creative. Just remember, like the unruled sectors outside of UEE jurisdiction but before Vanduul space, there is a neutral.

tl/dr: Questions are a of curiosity and a source of creativity - dont shoot every one down with a Vanduul downvoter. Stay neutral if you aren't interested in answering or contributing your ideas. Levski has lots of room for thread ruffians and vagabonds.

I backed this game back in late 2014, and from what i remember there was a ton of features promised into the game.

Are they still adding features, or are they actually putting things into execution

Cause i love the idea of this game, but in the 3 years of backing, it feels like the goal is no longer to complete a game, but rather to just exist in permanent development.

Provided SQ42 will still tie into the PU, our first characters will have been war vets and perhaps war heroes who fought alongside some the UEE's greatest against an overwhelming force. Decorated with some of the highest honors here lies Jl63, who passed when he, "wanted to see the asphyxiation effects of a toxic atmosphere" during a routine EVA attempt.

It will be sad to see our first spacemen go after surviving so much, albeit rather comical in a certain light. Survive 1000 Vanduul encounters only to be taken out by being crushed by your own Aurora while replacing a faulty thruster.

How do you expect, hope to avoid, or prefer to lose your first spaceman?
