I played hours of 3.0 and even after that I can't get used to how the cockpit interaction works... I understand that you have to press a button to toogle the interaction mode but I think it's quite... Bad...

How can I say it is bad? Just look at DCS and how they handle it.

The interaction is accurate (you have to be exactly on the button to interact with it and not just in the area around it), you don't have to select through multiple option after pointing the button (EACH button has it's own action). LMB and RMB allow the simple use of rotating button, 3-state button, you can even use the the mouse movement to analog button (potentiometer for instance).

In fact, everything can be done via the cockpit, every single action (beside flight movement). That's something that I greatly miss in Star citizen. Moreover, in the option, you can bind any action to a key, and not just some of them (which is reaaaaally intersting when you have a joystick like me) Something you can't do right now...

I know Star citizen is still in dev, but I think they are going in the wrong direction with the inertaction system. They should take a deeeep look at DCS and do something closer.

Disclaimer: I love this project, I'm multiple times concierge and I am sure it will be a great game. I'm having lots of fun in 3.0. Moreover, I understand why Chris needed to get 3.0 out at the end of last year, even if it is full of bugs.

However, I would really appreciate it if CIG would start to communicate and tells us if they plan top fix some of the more annoying or even game breaking bugs before 3.1.

Bugs like:
-ping pong ball (game breaking)
-REC weapons don't appear in PU and AC (everyone who does serious fighting is using a custom setup)
-missile lock bugged (works only sometimes, multiple locks are impossible atm, missiles lock on on randomly sometimes)
-inverse F key bug (interaction mode is on when not hitting the F key)
-mouse cursor disappearing in mobi glass
-ships spawn without doors, engines and weapons
-ships like the Raven have an invisible landing gear
-etc

There are workaround for some of those bugs that can fix those (sometimes) but I am really a bit annoyed we don't hear anything from CIG.
CIG please talk to us.
If fixing those bugs is not possible before 3.1 then tell us please.
If you are working on fixing some of those bugs tell us please.
Don't let us standing in the rain guessing.

So I don't want to start a anti-CIG campaign or anything and I know I will probably get a lot of down-votes for this, but it really bothers me how absolutely terrible this game's controls are.

I am playing with KB&M (because playing with a controller is even worse in this game!) and it all just seems unnecessarily complicated. For example, why in the blue fuck do I need to press a button for interaction prompts to appear?! And this is made even worse by things like door controls that have the "Open" graphic right there, but when you get this ugly-as-fuck control prompt slapped on top of it instead of them simply using the actual game asset to interact with.

I'm also finding these interaction prompts to be nigh invisible against certain backgrounds. I mean, what the actual fuck! It is like CIG is trying to invent gameplay with no references to previous games at all. There are games out there with VERY good control schemes to draw inspiration from. Take the very similar in style PAMELA for example. Vastly superior to this game.

I am super frustrated with how "backwards" this game feels to play, especially considering the vast amount of money already thrown at this game studio.

Am I the only one who thinks this game controls like an absolute pile of shit, having to memorize the entire goddamn keyboard controls that are all over the place???

Or, in less friendly circumstances, to do an The Expanse over the comms and announce to the crew to brace for impact, or the like.
