If this is DRAKE, which caters to "pirates" in general, I feel like we need this; a new ship manufacturer that caters to the criminal upper-class (people like Neal Caffrey and Mozzie), who want elegance to their dealings, not rugged industrial machinery. Something a proper mob boss would drive fly. Like Origin, but caters to the interests of upper-class criminals, with upgrades and tech to suit that lifestyle.

Okay, first off I'm not a fanboy of either. I just want to know if SC will have claimable space like in EVE, player made economy/factions/war.

I don't expect it to be exactly like EVE (though that would make the ultimate new MMO the world needs). But if someone could list the stuff that is player driven that would be great, even if it's not in the current build and far down the line.

I've always been intrigued by EVE though I despise the gameplay, I do get a bit misty eyed thinking that this game is basically that (Think of being on a multi crewed ship in an intergalactic war! /drool.)

Hey y'all,

I'm a armada pack owner and like with all packs, you can only upgrade upwards. So I got a LTI P-72 which I later upgraded to a 85X when it first came out. I intended at the tine to upgrade it to one of the bigger ships but now I feel like I already spent enough on this game and would like to earn the other big ships in-game.

So now I might want to upgrade my 85X into another ship. And there is a lot of ships in the $50-70 range. There's the Mustangs, 100 series, 300 series, Auroras, Avengers, etc.

There were quite a few of us trapped in Levski - the elevators to the top level where the airlocks are weren't working, and the hangars were all full and we couldn't claim ships.

There with a few more people trying to rescue us, but I was disconnected before they got there, but it was really cool how everyone was trying to work together!

Last patch (3.1.2) I could play for hours without a crash. This patch I'm constantly plagued with 30000 errors (server disconnects). This is an unrecoverable crash (can't get ship/cargo back). This seems to happen to me and my friends when they're on the same server with me.

Am I broken somehow or are the servers very flakey this patch?

I'm having startup problems with Star Citizen. I just updated the game from 3.1 to 3.2.1 (744137) and it does't go further than like 5secs into the Lumberyard screen or which just happened once, the screen stays black and nothing happens. Windows does not say it crashed or is not responding, screen just stays black, can switch in and out of it but nothing else. I've reinstalled the game twice but to no avail, still got exactly the same problem. I killed all other processes like chrome discord etc but still nothing.

I run a i5 8600k, a GTX 980 and 16gb of ram and got the game on a 840 Evo SSD.

Hope you guys can help me out.

A thought about "Classic" Ships

I've noticed that a large portion of older ship models, such as the Mustang and Avenger, have received or are planned to receive updated versions. Often, these versions are newer, more improved models that work better with the game's newer mechanics, such as the inner-thought system.

I had a thought the other day about what happens to the old models that no longer have a use: Star Citizen ships, in many ways, could be compared to cars in the modern age. They're utilitarian, sure, but the kind of car you drive says a lot about your personality. The same can be said about a Star Citizen ship. However, cars have over one hundred years of history, and many old models to account for that. There are entire clubs dedicated to restoring and presenting older models of cars. These classic cars have an entire culture surrounding them. So, who's to say we can't create a similar environment in Star Citizen?

Cars change over time, and therefore so would ships. We've got all these old, or "classic" models collecting dust now that the new ones have taken their place, so why not utilize all those old resources and turn them into "classic" ships? Individuals who purchased ships before they were revamped could potentially be given the old model as well as the new, as to give those who supported the ship "before it was cool" a little something extra, and the rest of us would have a whole new shiny object to strive for.

I see this as a good way to utilize outdated resources. Might be something to think about.
