Mission sharing should have a percentage slider where the owner can set how much each participitating member gets. Similar to the multi-item slider in the previous character generator.

Because an even payout for everyone is a very limited way to share missions. For example, someone with access to a high paying mission might want to keep more money for himself and adjust the payout for others participating to something different than even. Also that slider should be available to the mission owner until the end of the mission, to ensure anyone playing with him is doing their part.

There is a similar incentive in the movie "the revenant". Where the leader of the mission reminds another participant that he signed a contract to protect the leader, which implies he has to make sure the leader gets home alive so he gets paid.

It is also part of classic scifi tropes. In the first alien movie, there is a scene with crew members arguing over percentages.

This is important for missions where you play with people who you do not know well. It gives low-ranking participants an incentive to perform better so the owner might be inclinded to increase their payout over another member.

Banu shield

-Regen delay damaged is now 18 instead of 30 seconds
-38460 shield hps now instead of 36460

I am not sure if this is enough to make the Banu shield a useful shield for ships that have only 1 size 2 shield slot.

The harden mechanic of the Banu shield is very good, but I can hit other shield faces even when both ships are facing each other and finding someone who wants to play the "shield harden monkey" might not be easy.



Umbra

The other size 2 stealth shield. It is much better in most stats than the Sheut (default stealth shield of the Sentinel).

*I am not a fan of CIG's grade system.

So I guess Sheut, the default shields of the Sentinel is grade "D" (aka shit) and the Umbra is grade "A" or "B" or "C" (aka good). Chris, this game is way behind already, do we really need different grades of shields that are doing almost the same thing?

Hello Citizens,

I was thinking about a cool feature which could make this game even more fun! Many games in the past had follower/body guard feature like Diablo2/Skyrim etc etc. How cool it would be if we could hire AI crew to our ship?

We could hire them through completing quests, finding them in other taverns or bars giving them some money to join to your ship. These AI crew would have different traits and experience level in their special role like Gunner, Engineer, Co Pilot, Trooper etc.

Also when u would board your ship they would salute/greet you. Also u could ask them to explore a planet or just follow you as body guards.

This feature would be definitly usefull when we talk about bigsize ships where u need multipile crew to operate your ship well. Also your friends don t need to be online and sit within the turrets all day while u are flying around with your Javelin.

Ofc i enjoy to gang with my friends on the hammerhead but sometimes they arent online and alone i cant operate a hammerhead well since i have no control on the turrets.

PTU install size versus live

Hi there As I got only an 100gb SSD, I’ve struggled to install SC (basically windows SC and that’s it). As I tried to install the PTU, I of course exceeded my SSD space and couldn’t add it.

Will the live patch add as much space to the current, or are PTU files à “copy” of those from the live file?

I’ve an DELL all in one family PC (calm down, I’m the father here, but I had to make concessions here) and my concern is the growing size of the SC live file... Actually I hope the release is fare away enough to give me the time to get a future good PC rig (currently GTX 1050 4Go 16Go I7 8700T, it surprisingly does the job) but not before the next 3 years!

Ps: I’m gonna be hated for that last sentence!

It's the thing i'm waiting for (along with persistence). For example, raiding a ground base with a squad, killing some mercenary leader and collecting a big payout for the squad. I feel like when that's in the game, we will have finally "arrived" in terms of some real coop gameplay loops.

Hotkey to switch keybinding profile?

Does anyone know if there's a way to set up a hotkey that will switch keybinding profiles?

I set one up that's great for combat, but want to use another for things like flying about exploring and then mining. Rather than try to cram everything into one confusing layout.

Given the "modes" are pretty distinct, it's not terrible to switch from menu...but there could be an unexpected encounter that would benefit from a quick switch into combat mode.
