Hi! So I've playing these days were you could play for free, and apart from that city planet Wich is like 30-40fps with a i7-2060 everything looks good and works well.

So I'm on the fence on if to get it or not, could you help me resolving some basic questions I have? In short words, Thank you so much for your help!

-How dose exactly works the purchase of this game? You buy the account? The game? A ship? I've heard some diferents stuff...and I'm not really sure how it works.

-Can I buy most of the ships by playing the game? I've heard you must pay for them with real money, but someone said it's not true, and I'm finding a lot of diferents sides in something it's like (yes or no)

-Ive seen something about ship insurance, how dose it work? I'm a new player and I will be probably destroying my ship a lot on my firts steps, so yeah, how dose this work

-Ingame I fell in love with the Origin 300i, it's the perfect size and with a small interior, it is difficult to get this ship on the game? What similar ships you recommend me?

In fps games I usually prefer accurate weapons with decent damage instead of a high rate of fire.

I hope I am not breaking the rules as it pertains to SC.

There is a really good deal out for today for anyone using gamepads, joysticks, hotas.

Should check out https://gameglass.gg/.

The GlassPass is on sale. Which allows you to have as many Shards/MFDs, that you have devices for, open at one time. Instead of being limited to switching shards in a single device.

I am not affiliated I just find the software to be a really amazing tool that brings an MFD type environment to your desktop. It has some issues for keyboard+mouse users if using custom keybinds, but there is a feature on the horizon for setting custom keybinds.

Great game, but there are some issues

Hey everyone,

so, I have been following SC for 5 years now, I have spent "a lot" (on my standards) but I never played much, because there wasn't much to do. But with all the 3.7 and 3.8 hype I wanted to play again and just enjoy ArcCorp and soon Microtech.

I haven't seen many bugs, so that's great, but 2 things bother me - 1) I get the p4k error (and can't fix it, even after verifying and redownloading), which makes the game "crash" (it tells you it crashed, but you can normally play, just don't press OK on that error and put it out of screen).

and 2) the altitude meter - I wanted to grab some screenshots on Lyria (sunrise) so I traveled to the dark side of the moon, I am flying at comfortable height (at least I thought so) and then BOOM, I crash into the ground (although the altitude meter says "700 meters")... so that would need a fix, because what's the point in having altitude meter, if it doesn't show the actual altitude?

Sorry, just wanted to rant a bit, especially about the altitude, because it's really hard to fly above the ground in high speed at night with broken altitude meter.

Feedback from a few days of playing Arena Commander.

I've been playing Arena Commander for a few days on long stretches to iron out my pilot skills. I love the game so far and flying around is fun, however I can't help but feel confused on where I need to aim.

I've tried the two type of aiming pips, both seems wildly inaccurate. Sometimes it hit, sometimes it doesn't, no matter how centered I am on it when I fire.

It almost seem like you need some kind of Force precognition to hit anything. I'm quite confident I'm usually not that bad at any type of shooters or sims. This feels like the only way to hit anything is if you have skills that allow you to headshot a moving target across a map.

I understand that this is thrilling for those who can achieve that, but even for the best I'm quite sure that if I concentrated on just dodging, I would be able to no matter people's skills.

In sum, flying is fun, but the targeting is too inaccurate which leads to much frustration.

PS: Please no "Git Good" answer, I know I'm not the best but when I shoot at where it's telling me to shoot, I expect it to hit.

Thank you for any thoughts. The Harbinger seems like a worse ship for more money at the moment, but I can't tell if that is just this patch or if both ships are truly redundant to one another.

Im really interested in buying the game after 3.8 release. I just want to ask what made YOU buy the game and if you regret buying it what made you think so.

Also i want to ask what are your favourite ships and why.

My favourite ones so far is cutlass black and the carrack.

Didnt really flew many ships. I was in avenger titan, cutlass black, 890 jump and origin 300i if i remember correctly.

What do you guys expect the most off hands way of making money in the SC universe?

Well nothing is certain, that is for sure but with the given information what do you guys think will be the most off hands profession in the SC universe? I have a baby on the way and might not be able to act as the captain of a mining operation with 4 other players for 6 hours (I have PTSD from EVE Online for large scale operations). I wonder if I can set up shop with a Banu merchantman somewhere, load up some goods and go change the diaper of my daughter while people buy stuff from my NPC manned or kiosk based stores.
